Second Bite is a zero-waste kitchen and food innovation studio that creates snacks and functional products from surplus food streams generated by local cafés and restaurants. Our work is grounded in the principles of the circular economy, local sourcing, and nutritional value—what is usually considered waste becomes a high-quality raw material here.

Our Story
We use day-old bread for crunchy breadcrumbs and snacks, spent grain from beer brewing for protein bars and pasta, and vegetable trimmings from kitchens for spice blends, crispy “crumbs,” or fermented condiments. Excess—but still high-quality—berries and fruits become natural snacks and the base for purées or dried products.
Our product line focuses on healthier, fibre-rich, plant-protein solutions without artificial additives. Second Bite aims not only to reduce food waste, but also to create new gastronomic value—showing that local food streams can become innovative, nutritious, and commercially viable products.
